Harcostar Rain Tank 700 Litres
Collect and store 700 litres (150 gallons) in this rain water
tank. Made from tough reinforced plastic, it measures 65x150x85cm high and includes a tap and
screw-on cap.
At the back of the water tank about 5cm (2in) from the top, there is a hole for
a rain trap connection pipe.
There is also a hole at the bottom on this particular model, just below the tap, which allows the
tap to be moved to different positions depending on whether you have it on a stand or on the
ground. Extra plugs are provided to block up any unwanted holes.

What's included in the Utility Tank
System?
Each system includes one 1,500 litre (330 gallons) black
utility tank, a Forta Duo pump, easy-fit pump connection point with shut off valve, and a rainwater
filter-diverter (which you install on the down-pipe).
The filter collector cleanses the
rainwater before diverting it sideways into the tank, while leaves and debris
continue down to the drain. When the Utility tank is full the filter collector
automatically sends excess rainwater to the drain as usual. The unique removable
filter cartridge can be taken out in seconds for
cleaning.
This outlet multi hosetail connection
from the pump allows you to use 1/2 inch (13mm), 3/4 inch (19mm) or 1 inch (25mm)
hoses.
The Utility Tank System has a compact,
sturdy metal valve and simple, reliable brass connector enabling you to shut off
the outlet from the Tank and disconnect the pump for
storage.

1500 Litre Water Tank and Pump
This utility water tank is a large scale, all-inclusive solution to rainwater
storage. The 3P Technik Utility Tank System can be used in a whole range of rainwater
harvesting applications. The massive 1,500 litre water tank also comes with all the parts and
connectors you need, making the buying process much simpler. Included in this package is a
Forta Duo Pump to give you great water pressure from a hose (as good as mains
pressure).

This system offers all the parts you need to create a large scale water
collection and storage system. One of the great benefits of a large volume storage and pump
combination is that you can water your garden for a meaningful amount of time. If you own a
standard 190 or 200 litre water butt and connect a pump (like the Forta Duo that we supply)
to it then a full water butt will be emptied in less than 4 minutes. How far will that get
you? With our utility tank system, you will get just under half an hour of watering with a
pump when you start with a full tank.
This tank is no beauty, but it does hold 1,500 litres of rainwater where cost
or site conditions prevent you installing undertround systems. It has a small footprint and will
sit equally comfortably on a garden path or in a garage. When empty each tank weighs a very solid
85kg. The dimensions of the tank are 1200mm x 780mm x 2000mm - so it is a shade over six and a half feet tall! The Wall Tank is only
available in black so you can understand why we call it a utility tank.

The utility tank system is supplied with a powerful Forta Duo pump which means that you can enjoy the
pressure and convenience of mains water while you are actually using free rainwater. Simply
connect a hose or tap to the pump and it will run when you open the tap and automatically
shut off when you close it, so there is no need to run back and switch the pump off. The pump
can supply water at over 4 bar of pressure allowing it to push water uphill as high as 134
feet (41 metres). Using the pump, the flow rate through a 1/2 inch hosepipe is similar to
mains water. Attached to the inlet of the pump is a large cartridge filter to ensure only
clean water enters the pump.

The Graf Carat tank is the largest tank of
its kind in the world to be manufactured by injection compression
moulding. This technique provides the tank with unbeatable stability
and ensures that each component is produced with the highest accuracy. Graf
have invested €20m in their factory near Freiburg for the Carat range,
introduced in early 2007.
Like the Graf Hercules, the Carat comes in two halves so you can
carry it through a doorway as narrow as 80cms (and so we can stack many of
them on one pallet for bulk transport). A centering bolt makes assembly
accurate and the quick connections ensure there are no leaks between the two
sections... and yet you can disassembly it if you like. The material used is
a PE variant called Duralen.

Connections for underground installation: space
for you to cut holes as required for connecting the filter inside the
turret. We recommend use of British standard 110mm
brown piping (more accurately 4.25 inches or 108mm external diameter) as
supplied by builders merchants like Jewson, Wickes etc. If you are using
110mm piping between your roof's downpipes and the tank, and between the
tank and the drain or soakaway, then you have no worries about
compatibility of pipe sizes. As an option with the complete kit (see
separate web page) we supply the tank with the holes cut and the the
initial pipes

* The half height is a useful dimension if your site is at the back
of a house and you have to get the tank through the doors of the house. The
Carat is shipped in two halves with the turret separate. By tipping the half
tank on its side you and a colleague can walk it through a narrow door. Your
door width needs to be marginally wider than the half height
shown.
The Carat tank
can support pedestrian and car traffic (but not trucks and HGVs) when fitted with
the optional dome and cast iron lid. Contractors often ask us the
dimensions of the turret. There are two options which we provide (one (a) for
pedestrian load bearing and the other (b) a cast iron one for vehicle load bearing)
which have different dimensions. They are both extensible, and can be tilted if the
ground surface is not level, as follows:
